Not to be confused with upgrades to make to prepare your home to go on the market. These are four quick and affordable things you can do to your new home that will make it feel much more like your own home.

1) Paint/Wallpaper

Painting a bedroom or even just an accent wall can freshen up your new home and give it your personal touch that makes it feel more like home.

2) Curtains or blinds

Whether you are a curtains or blinds kind of person, these can be a relatively affordable switch out that makes your home feel less like a fish bowl.

3) Changing light fixtures and fans

Updating light fixtures or fans can make a huge difference. They have the potential of totally switching up the vibe of a room and can be a great statement of your own personal style.

4) Add throw pillows

These can get pricey. But finding ones at stores like Home Goods or Ross is a great way to liven up certain furniture pieces that you don't love in your new space.
