This week's topic:

When is the best time to sell in San Diego?

Typically the best times to sell are in spring and early summer, so February to about June.

Why? It usually centers around school schedules. People want to be ready to move and settled for summer vacations and before the next school year starts. After August, kids are then back in school, families and individuals aren't traveling as much and want to be settled in their new home for the holidays.

In previous episodes we've discussed whether or not the market slows in the winter. In San Diego, there really is not a BAD time to sell. We don't experience extreme weather conditions that keeps buyers from house hunting or makes a house not show well. There can be benefits to selling during months that typically are not considered "good times to sell." One of those benefits being that there is not as much inventory on the market so your home may be more competitive.

All in all, the popular times to sell in San Diego are in that February to June bracket.
